Privacy of student information
Democracy Works and the TurboVote team value our users’ privacy, and we take steps to ensure that user information is kept private and secure. The TurboVote web app asks students for information necessary to provide the services we offer—we ask for a student’s name, mailing address, voting address, email address, and phone number for the purpose of completing the student's voting forms.
We do not collect sensitive or high-value information, such as credit card, social security, or other ID numbers. We take great care to ensure that students’ personal information remains private. Democracy Works never sells student information to third parties.
We share some student information with our partners, such as college or university staff. We also share student information with some vendors such as those who process and mail the registration forms. We do not share any information with these partners beyond what is necessary to use their services. These partners’ privacy policies also protect user information from sale.
