Notifications

Detailed, nonpartisan SMS and email alerts in English and Spanish help voters turn out to vote in every election. Users receive notifications custom to their personal election calendar, ensuring they get the most helpful information precisely when they need to take action.

TurboVote will send reminders and information on how, when, and where to vote for all 50 states, plus D.C. Our research team strives to identify as many elections as possible, and at a minimum, TurboVote covers all elections that affect jurisdictions of 5,000 or more people. When a user gets a notification from us, they can respond to it with their voting questions, and we have a staffed help desk ready to get users the answers they need to register to vote and then cast their ballot.

Users receive notifications after signing up through our Voter Registration AssistanceGet Election Reminders, and Pledge to Register experiences.

Account Updates

Every TurboVote notification also reminds the user of the registration address they provided during their signup process, letting them know they can update this information by visiting the link provided. This link is unique for each user, and takes them to their page in the returning user flow (RUF). In addition to their registration and/or mailing address, the RUF allows users to update their name, voting method preference, and mailings subscription status in the TurboVote system. If the user updates any of this information with TurboVote, the RUF provides instructions for updating their registration as well.
