TurboVote helps voters in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. access the voting guides, alerts, and real-time help they need to vote in every election.

Since 2012, hundreds of colleges and universities, workplaces and brands, nonprofits and local governments have deployed TurboVote to help Americans vote.

TurboVote is a product of Democracy Works, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that collaborates with election officials and world-class partners to drive voter access and participation.

Timely, trustworthy guidance and support for voters 

Voter registration assistance: Based on user preference and state availability, TurboVote directs users to either their state's online voter registration system or fills out a paper-based National Voter Registration Form for them to help them navigate the voter registration process.

Check your registration: In less than two minutes, users can confirm they are actively registered to vote at their current address and get help updating their registration if they need to re-register.

Pledge to register: 15-17 year olds can pledge to register and invite their friends to join them. TurboVote will notify them to register to vote on their 18th birthday.

Election reminders: Users can subscribe to receive text or email notifications in English or Spanish. Voters are notified when they have an upcoming election and are prompted to take any actions necessary to participate.

Make a plan to vote: Share state-specific voting guides to educate voters on options for voting early, by mail, and in person in their state; how to find their voting location; and how to contact their election officials. Uplift election guides to provide voters with guidance on the key actions they need to take based on deadlines for a particular election.

Mailings: TurboVote partners can choose to offer their voters physical mailings, which include instructions, the voter’s pre-filled registration form and/or a mail ballot request form, as well as a pre-paid return envelope.

Help desk: Users can reply to any TurboVote notification to get in touch with our user support team and receive one-on-one support in either English or Spanish.

Co-branded site: All TurboVote partners receive a customizable, co-branded site to share with their audiences. Partner sites feature their logo, a unique URL and accent colors, and the option to customize text throughout the platform.

Strategic implementation tools: Partner features such as referral links and multiple customizable landing pages, each dedicated to a specific call-to-action for voters, support sophisticated voter engagement activations.  

Program support: Partners receive direct, one-on-one support from our team to help maximize their impact by sharing best practices and implementation resources, as well as connecting them to the broader TurboVote partner community.

Impact dashboard: TurboVote partners have access to real-time data, allowing them to track their impact throughout each campaign and identify their most successful voter engagement strategies.

Voter file match: TurboVote runs a voter file analysis in federal election years for each partner that shows how many of their TurboVote users successfully registered and voted.
